Florence is an eternal dream

Florence is an eternal dream, the most beautiful city in the world. Since I remember, I have been fascinated by antiquity, history, and the Medici dynasty. So I decided to visit Florence, the city where Paco Neumann lives. He is one of my best friends. I met Paco in the mid-nineties when he lived and studied journalism and photography in Madrid. I have always been attracted to art, so I explored several museums and many Renaissance churches during my vacation in Florence. Needless to say that the entire city is a vast open-air museum.

I stayed in a Renaissance palace, which transferred me to the past. I felt like a Medici. The fact that Leonardo Da Vinci lived here, a genius, a master, a scientific, immediately drove me to the Renaissance. There are no words to describe the magnificent marble statue David by Michelangelo, a large sculpture with small penis; merely fantastic. I loved the Medici Mausoleum (Cappelle Medicee), and I was also fascinated by the Santa Trinita Bridge, whose four statues represent the four seasons.

Not only I did fell in love with The Birth of Venus by Sandro Botticelli, but also with a thousand other wonders at the Galleria degli Uffizi, the oldest museum in the world. Here I was extremely overwhelmed by The Seven Virtues (Strength, Temperance, Faith, Charity, Hope, Justice, and Prudence), a work by Botticelli together with Piero del Pollaiolo. And The Adoration of the Magi by Leonardo Da Vinci is heartily ingrained in my mind.
