Palazzo Strozzi celebrates Natalia Goncharova, a leading female artist of the 20th century, in a major retrospective. The exhibition explores her unconventional life and career, presenting her rich and multifaceted artistic output with masterpieces from significant international collections by renowned artists including Gauguin, Matisse, Picasso, Balla and Boccioni.
Taking visitors on a journey from the Russian countryside to Moscow and Paris, the exhibition features 130 artworks and gives an account of the unorthodox life of a woman who lived for her own unique fusion of tradition and innovation, of East and West, making her own work an exceptional example of experimentation with artistic genres and styles ranging from New-Primitivism to Rayonisme, painting and graphic art to her work for the theatre.

El Palazzo Strozzi de Florencia rinde homenaje a Natalia Goncharova, artista femenina emblemática del siglo XX. La retrospectiva explora su vida y carrera poco convencionales, presentando su producción artística rica y multifacética en confrontación con obras maestras de importantes colecciones internacionales de artistas de renombre como Gauguin, Matisse, Picasso, Balla y Boccioni.
Guiando a los visitantes a través de un viaje desde la campiña rusa a Moscú y París, la exposición muestra 130 piezas y explora la vida poco ortodoxa de una mujer que vivió su propia fusión particular entre tradición e innovación, Oriente y Occidente, haciendo de su propia ouvre un ejemplo excepcional de experimentación con géneros y estilos que van desde el Nuevo Primitivismo hasta el Rayonismo, pasando por la pintura y el arte gráfico hasta su trabajo para el teatro y el ballett.
